Hire a Robotics Engineer

Software that moves things. A small pool, concentrated in places a keyword search never looks.

The pool is small, deep and clustered

  • Retained recruiters.
  • LinkedIn Recruiter seats.
  • Keyword-matched resumes.
  • Templated InMails.

Robotics sits across control, perception, mechanical reality and software, and almost nobody is strong in all of it. Hiring means deciding which axis matters for your machine and being honest about the rest.

The people are also clustered. University labs, a handful of companies, specific conferences and a well-defined open-source world. Compared to web engineering, it is a small room where many people know each other.

That makes generic outreach worse than useless. A message that could have been sent to any engineer marks you as someone who does not understand the field, and word travels in a small room.

How the agent runs a robotics engineer search

01

It reads the lab and the repository

Publications, contributions to robotics frameworks, competition teams, demo videos of things that actually moved. The evidence is unusually concrete here.

02

It picks the axis you need

Controls, perception, manipulation or systems integration. The candidate write-up says which one the evidence supports rather than claiming all four.

03

Outreach that shows the machine

Robotics engineers choose by the hardware and the problem. The message says what you are building and what is genuinely unsolved about it.

04

Screening on reality

Your questions go out early: the gap between simulation and the real machine, and the failure that only appeared in hardware.

Questions.
Answered.

Academia brings depth and novel methods; industry brings the instinct for things that must not break. Most early robotics teams need at least one of each.

By looking for evidence of hardware: demo video, competition results, write-ups about a real failure. Simulation-only candidates are surfaced and labelled as such.

Rarely decisive. Understanding of control and systems transfers; a specific arm or sensor is learned in weeks.

Clearance status can be part of the brief. Tell us at intake and the agent screens for it in the first exchange.

Find your robotics engineer.

Tell us what your machine does and the agent will find people who have made one like it work.
